Pretty Much Everything !!

“ You can only be hurt by people you love. People you don’t love can never hurt you! ”, such a correct saying. Something of such sort happened with her and on none other than the most special day of the year for her, her birthday. Birthday is the most special day of everyone’s life. One deserves to be happy and feel loved on that day. And this year was a little more special for her as she was planning to celebrate it with the love of her life. Little did she know, that this birthday will leave such a scar on her heart that she would hate this day for many more years to come. One day before her big day, she was all excited and happily waiting as she knew he would come to meet her and wish her at 12 o’clock. Just to have a sneak peek into his plans, she called him to inquire where he was. He, as usual, replied that he was very tired and told her how it was a long day at the office. She couldn’t resist herself by asking if he would be coming that night to meet her to which he lazily...

It was 10 o’clock at night. Done with the dinner, a lovely girl in the early twenties was planning to retire on her bed with her favourite novel. As she started flipping the novel in hand, her phone blinked. Opening the text on her mobile, a surprised yet beautiful smile crossed her lips. Gazing at her was a rather awkward question from the guy she was just thinking about. “Is it really possible to tell someone else how one feels?” asked the text gently. God! How she hoped the text meant the same as she thought. How she hoped that the question was for her. How she expected him to think about her while asking that.  But she did not want to seem so excited or so nervous about that. Thinking for a second, she started typing the words.
